Tokyo, May 20: Ever wondered what happened when disaster struck Japan and threatened to damage an entire nuclear establishment thus jeopardising the health and safety of millions. The Tokyo Electric Power Company(TEPCO) has released a series of photographs to show the sequence of events that left the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant crippled.
It can be recollected that on March 11, Japan was struck by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake in its north-eastern coast which subsequently triggered off an even more destructive tsunami that has left an estimated 24,000 dead.
