South Indian nightingale KS Chithra's daughter dies in Dubai

Abu Dhabi, Apr 14: Popularly known as South Indian ' little nightingale,' KS Chithra and her husband Vijayashankar were blessed with a daughter after eight years of their marriage. But their good days with their baby child did not last long as their daughter met with a tragic end.

8-year-old Nandana drowned in a swimming pool in Dubai on Thursday, Apr 14. Chithra had gone to Dubai along with her family members to participate in A.R. Rahman's show to be held in Sharjah. Nandana is believed to have been a spastic child.

Sources informed, "The girl was found dead in the swimming pool of a villa in the Emirates Hills. The door was found open and the girl was found drowned in the swimming pool. Even though she was rescued and rushed to the Jebel Ali hospital, the girl died. The dead body was kept in the Jebel Ali hospital."

AR Rehman's musical show has been scheduled at 6:30 pm at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Sources also claimed, "Most probably the AR Rahman show will happen as per schedule, but KS Chithra will not sing in the concert."

Artists like Hariharan, Chithra, Sadhana Sargam, Naresh Iyer, Benny Dayal, Vijay Prakash, Raihanah, Sayanora, Aslam went to Dubai for participating in a musical extravaganza to celebrate the compositions of Oscar winner music director AR Rahman.
