Manmohan hampers Sushma's Kerala tour

New Delhi, Apr 10: Congress and BJP continue their rivalry at political level and now the colour of their relation is seen in the normal lives of the political leaders of the two parties, not intentional though.

BJP leader Sushma Swaraj never leaves a chance to oppose and criticise the Prime Minister Manmmohan Singh, be it in the parliament or outside the House. Now, it seems that the PM has taken a "revenge" after hampering Sushma's tour in Karala. (Read: Cash-for-votes: Sushma bowled out 'unaware' PM in Parliament)

Both BJP and Congress are conducting election campaigns with full zeal in Kerala as the state is going to hold its assembly polls on Wednesday, Apr 13. Manmohan Singh and Sushma Swaraj met on this Kerala battleground and Singh forced Sushma to change her path.

An official in Thiruvanathapuram airport, on the condition anonymity, stated that Sushma had to cancel her Helicopter tour from Cochin to Palakkad on Saturday, Apr 9.

The official, informing about the situation, said, "The pilot (Sushma's helicopter) was asked to keep an altitude of 5000 feet, but he chose not to fly since it was not a high-altitude helicopter."

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) directed Sushma's pilot to keep the altitude of 5000 feet after receiving information that Manmohan Singh's flight's movement over the Kollam-Kottayam region at the same altitude.

Meanwhile, Sushma left for Palakkad by road in the afternoon, sources informed.
