Karachi violence death toll rises to eight in 24 hours
Karachi, Mar 12: The death toll in the ongoing wave of violence in Karachi has mounted to eight in the last 24 hours. An activist of a religious outfit was injured in a firing incident by unidentified miscreants in New Karachi, Samaa TV reports. The injured was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
In another incident, a man was killed in a firing incident in Sultanabad. Enraged people resorted to aerial firing late Friday night, causing the shops to close down summarily.
Mehmood Shah, Amir of Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Korangi was shot down in Korangi-2.5. Earlier, two people were gunned down in firing incidents by unidentified miscreants in the Liyari areas of Kalri and Baghdadi.
Also, two other people were shot dead in Eidgah area, and two other people sustained injuries in the incidents of violence.
