Rovio's Angry Birds flying to Facebook

Espoo (Finland), Mar 6: Finally, the King plans to meet the Emperor. Worlds favourite mobile game, Angrybirds, set to fly onto the world's largest social networking platform Facebook. Now, it's your time to play Angry Birds on Facebook.

Angry Birds maker Rovio announced on the official Angry Birds Facebook page that the game would be coming to Facebook by Apr 2011. Rovio asked the users to "Like" the page to get the updated news and all about the journey of Angry Birds to Facebook, with more than 500 million active users.

Rovio CEO Mikael Hed said that Angry Birds on Facebook will offer a great experience than any other platforms and also he hinted that because of the "collaborative nature" of Facebook "the pigs will have a more prominent role."

"There will be completely new aspects to it that just haven"t been experienced in any other platform," Mikael Hed said.

Earlier, we reported Rovio's plan to launch the Angry Birds game on Microsoft Windows Phone 7 OS and the 3D version. Currently, Angry Birds is available on iOS, Android, Symbian, Windows, Mac, PS3 and WebOS platforms. Angry Birds game has crossed more than 75 million downloads on mobile platforms alone.
