Five drug peddlers arrested in North Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 22 (PTI) Five alleged drug peddlers weretoday arrested in north Kashmir''s Baramulla district and overfive kilograms of cannabis worth Rs five lakh was recoveredfrom their possession.
"Police laid a naka near main bus stand in Baramullatown and detained three persons moving around in suspiciouscircumstances after they tried to escape from the spot," apolice spokesman said.
He said during a body frisk of the three persons, fivekilograms of cannabis, with a value of nearly Rs five lakh,wasrecovered from their possession.
They were identified as Abdul Rashid Najar, Nisar AhmadKhan and Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Magray.
A case under relevant sections of Narcotics Drugs andPsychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered againstthe accused.
