Four Naxals from Bastar surrender
Raipur, Feb 15 (PTI) Four Naxals from Bastar district ofChhattisgarh, two of whom were carrying reward on their head,have surrendered before the police.
Superintendent of Police of Bastar P Sunderraj said thatthe four outlaws Sonaram Yadav, Dharmu Nage, Massu Netam andTulsiram Netam surrendered before the police at village Barwa.
He said Dharmu Nage was carrying a reward of Rs 20,000 onhis head while reward for Massu Netam was for Rs 5,000 and thepolice were on the look out for them for a long time.
They were wanted in connection with incidents ofviolence, arson and destroying government properties.
They told the police that they were misled by the Naxalsfrom Andhra Pradesh and resorted to acts of violence.
They also said that they were upset that other Naxalswere exploiting the local tribals and decided to surrenderthemselves.
