Police deployed as tension follows road rage incident

Jaipur, Feb 14 (PTI) Tension gripped Hasanpura localityhere following an incident of road rage in which six personswere injured, one of them critically, police said today.

Additional forces were deployed in the area to keep thesituation under control following the tension which eruptedafter the incident that occurred yesterday at Hasanpura road,they said.

According to police, one Gajendra Singh Chauhan was onhis way to meet his friend when three youths hit hismotorcycle with their bike. Chauhan entered into an argumentwith them following which they thrashed him.

Chauhan, a native of the same locality, called hisrelatives for help but they were also beaten up by people fromthe boys'' community.

Six persons, including Jitendra''s mother Sarla, wereinjured in the attack and were rushed to hospital whereJitendra''s condition was stated to be critical, the policesaid.

"Today, tension erupted in the area but we soon deployedadditional forces to keep the situation under control. Sevenpersons have been arrested in for attacking the people,"Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaipur (South) Jose Mohan said.

He said that the situation was under control but tensed.
