Kidnapped girl rescued in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 14 (PTI) A minor girl, who was missing sinceearlier this month, has been rescued by police from heralleged kidnapper here.

Bismah (15), an NCC scout, was missing from the NCC campat Nagrota area here since February 2 and was rescued lastnight from the hideout of her kidnapper Nazamul Sakib, an NCCInspector, police said.

The victim''s father, a resident of Hili area in Dodadistrict, had lodged a complaint at Nagrota police stationstating that his daughter had gone to participate in theRepublic Day parade in New Delhi and had returned to NagrotaNCC camp from where she went missing on February 2, they said.

On a tip off, police yesterday raided a hideout here andrescued the minor girl, though the alleged kidnapper escapedfrom the spot, the police said.
