CBI produces last witness in Kavita Rani murder case
Ghaziabad, Feb 12 (PTI) CBI today produced its lastwitness in a case related to the suspected murder of KavitaRani, a professor of fine arts in Chaudhary Charan SinghUniversity missing since October 2006, whose body has not beenrecovered yet.
In the special CBI court of A K Singh, theinvestigative agency produced Assistant Superintendent ofPolice Vinay Kumar as its witness.
The main accused Ravindra Pradhan was allegedly killedin Dasna district jail here in 2008.
Three Uttar Pradesh former ministers are also accusedin the this case for having illicit relationship with theMeerut professor. The prosecution has produced 31 witnesses inthis case.
The defence will start its proceedings from February24.
