Goa''s election commission to declare election results same day

Panaji, Feb 4 (PTI) Goa State Election Commission woulddeclare the results of elections for the civic poll in Panajischeduled for March on the same day.

State Election commissioner M Modassir told reporterstoday that the Commission proposes to hold the elections forthe corporation of Panaji on March 13 and results would bedeclared the same evening.

The election for 30-wards would be held throughelectronic voting machines (EVMs) and will be monitored onlineby senior poll officials.

Modassir said that the arrangements have been made to holdcounting on the same day and all the results would be outwithin an hour.

CCP, a civic body managing affairs of capital city ofPanaji and its neighbourhood, has 32090 voters. PTI RPS
