Dowry victim commits suicide

Ghaziabad, Feb 4 (PTI) A woman allegedly committedsuicide over dowry at her house in Modinagar area, policesaid.

Richa was found hanging from the ceiling fan of herhouse last evening, SHO Yogesh Pathak said.

A suicide note was recovered from the house in whichthe victim has alleged that her husband Praveen was harassingher over dowry, he said.

Richa was married to Praveen for the last three yearsand was continuously abused and pressurised for bringing moredowry, he said.

The accused has been arrested and the victim''s bodysent for postmortem, he added.
