DG Prisons removed
Bhopal, Feb 4 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Director General(Prisons), V K Panwar was removed from this charge and made DG(Jail Reforms) by the State Governor.
The move comes apparently after saffron organisationsexpressed their displeasure at the amnesty given to five SIMIactivists by the Jail Department.
Official sources said here today that Panwar and someother police officials had been indicted by a JudicialCommission which had probed the death of a policeman in anencounter in Sheopur district in January 2004.
Panwar is the sixth DG in Madhya Pradesh who has beenremoved from Jails in the last three years.
