Cong accuses BJP of fudging figures in MCD budget

New Delhi, Feb 1 (PTI) Congress today accused theruling BJP in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) ofshowing "false and exaggerated" income in the revised budgetestimates for this fiscal.

Opposition Leader Jai Kishan Sharma said the MCD hasprojected that it would get an income of Rs 1,250 crores fromproperty tax, Rs 100 crore from advertising and Rs 38.50 crorefrom Land and Revenue in the revised estimates for the year2010-2011.

"If we look at the real picture, the income tillJanuary 24 from the departments is just Rs 621.66 crores, Rs47.69 crore and Rs 5.53 crore," he said, while initiating thebudget debate in the House meeting of MCD.
