Monthly honorarium for Anganwadi workers, assitants to go up
Bangalore, Jan 31 (PTI): Karnataka Government has agreedin principle to enhance the monthly honorarium of AnganwadiWorkers and Anganwadi assistants by Rs 500 and Rs 200,Ministerfor Women and Child Development C C Patil said today.
The date of payment of revised honorarium would be decidedby Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in consultation with theFinance Department, he told reporters here.
Anganwadi workers currently get Rs 2500 honorarium andassistants Rs 1250 and these workers would get 15 day summervacation from this year, he said.
The government has asked the Karnataka State Public ServiceCommission to take up recruitment to fill up 17 ChildDevelopment officers posts and 331 supervisor vacancies, Patilsaid.
