Rs 20 lac found from residences of illegal liquor traders

Jodhpur (PTI) Close on the heels of hooch tragedy in thecity, police today recovered Rs 20 lakh, jewellery and rawmaterials in huge quantities during a raid at residences oftwo persons allegedly involved in illegal liquor business.

Over 5000 litres of spirit, 9200 packed pouches of liquor,empty bottles, labels, 30 packing machines were found from theresidences of Kalu Ram Bishnoi and his brother Shiv KumarBishnoi in Khejadli village, police said.

We got information that a huge quantity of liquor and rawmaterial is lying stored in the house of Kalu Ram Bishnoi inKhejadli village, a prime suspect of Jodhpur hooch tragedy,Police Commissioner Bhupendra Kumar Dak said, adding Bishnoiis absconding and no arrests have been made so far.

The hooch tragedy has claimed at least 11 lives in Jodhpurand Pali districts earlier this week.
