Panchayat election''s issues resolved in J&K: Rather
Jammu, Jan 29 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir government todayclaimed the difference of opinion in the state cabinet overessential amendments in J&K Panchayati Raj Act for panchayatpolls have been resolved amicably and there is no hitch now inthis regard.
"All the issues related to holding of panchayat electionshave been resolved amicably and there is no hitch now in thisregard", said Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather who chairedthe meeting of cabinet Sub-Committee to examine the need forcarrying out certain changes in the J&K Panchayati Raj Act,1989, here.
Difference of opinion between ruling coalitionpartners had cropped at the cabinet meeting yesterday and acabinet sub-committee was constituted by the cabinet toexamine the need for carrying out certain essential amendmentsin the J&K Panchayati Raj Act. (more) PTI AB
