IMF team to arrive in Pakistan today for reforms review

Washington, Jan 30(ANI): A delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on Sunday (today) to hold talks on economic reforms and the release of the last tranche of the 11.3-billion-dollar package.

The IMF delegation will include Adnan Mazari, the Fund's mission chief to Pakistan, and Masood Khan, SAMAA TV reports.

The visiting team will hold meetings with Pakistan's political leadership and the government's economic team, and will try to persuade them for quick implementation of the reforms' commitments.

The government has also completed its homework on the issue, and both sides are likely to set a timeframe for approval of the Reformed General Sales Tax (RGST) Bill from Parliament. (ANI)
