JMM delegation meets kins of Netai carnage victims

Jamshedpur, Jan 24 (PTI) A delegation of JMM headed byJharkhand Revenue and Land Reform Minister Mathura PrasadMahto today met the family members of those killed in firingfrom a camp at Netai village in West Midnapore district ofWest Bengal.

The minister condoled the family members of thenine victims, including four women, General Secretary of JMMcentral committee Suprio Bhattacharya said.

He later handed over a cash of Rs. 11,000 as relief tothe family members of the nine, who were killed in firing onJanuary seven.

Mahto handed over a cash of Rs. 2,000 each to eightothers, who were seriously injured in the incident andundergoing treatment in a hospital.

The minister met the District Magristrate of WestMidnapore, Surendra Gupta and demanded arrest of thoseinvolved in the incident.

The delegation, which also comprised JMM MLAs fromBaharagora and Ghatsila constituencies in East SinghbhumVidyut Baran Mahto and Ramdas Soren respectively, formerJharkhand Minister Dulal Bhuiyan and Bhattacharyya, made thevisit on the directive of party supreme Sibu Soren.
