Ex-ISI official killed by Taliban abductors in North Waziristan
Islamabad, Jan 23(ANI): Former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) official, Colonel Imam, was killed by his Taliban abductors in North Waziristan.
Imam's dead body is still being held by his abductors, SAMAA TV reports.
According to sources, he was murdered for failing to pay a ransom demanded by his abductors.
Imam was whisked away from North Waziristan along with another former ISI official Khalid Khawaja and a British journalist, Asad Qureshi, in March last year.
Little-known Usman Punjab Group of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed to have abducted them.
While Qursehi was later released as a result of successful negotiations, Khawaja was killed and his body was found dumped by a roadside in Miranshah on April 30. (ANI)
