Dalit woman gangraped by five men, case registered

Kanpur, Jan 20 (PTI) A Dalit woman was allegedlygangraped by five men following which a case has beenregistered in this regard, police said here today.

The victim, resident of Baraijhal village, wentmissing on January 15, was found in an unconscious state nearBhauti area last night by her family members, who then boughther to the police station.

The victim has alleged in her FIR that LallaAgnihotri, resident of the same village, and four unidentifiedmen gangraped her, they said.

A case has been registered against five persons forallegedly assaulting the Dalit woman, police said today.

Investigations are on in the case, they said, addingefforts are on to nab the accused.
