Pakistan earthquake 2011 piles on the misery

New Delhi, Jan 19: A massive earthquake with 7.4 magnitude stirred North-West Pakistan on early Wednesday, Jan 19. The quake left a tremors in North India, especially in Delhi.

After the deadly flood, which caused the nation a huge loss, another natural calamity rocked Pakistan on Jan 19. Several houses have been collapsed in the North-West region but no casualties have been confirmed yet.

7.4 magnitude earthquake rocks Pakistan

But this is not the first time that Pakistan experienced the wrath of nature after the flood in 2010. The nation became the pathetic target of earthquake twice in 2010.

On Aug 24, the floods-hit northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan was shaken by a 5.2-magnitude earthquake.

Once again, an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hits Pakistan's capital city Islamabad on Oct 11, 2010.

Now, sufferings of Pakistan, which has been entangled by terrorism, unstable political crisis and an economic loss, have been deepened by the natural calamities.
