7.4 magnitude earthquake rocks Pakistan

Islamabad, Jan 19: Near the borders of Iran and Afghanistan, an earthquake of 7.4 magnitude rocked Pakistan on late Tuesday, Jan 18. The heavy intensity of the quake shuddered India's capital Delhi, Jaipur and Dehradun. The trembling felt in Dubai also.

The temblor that occurred at around 2 am, jolted most of the major cities in the region, including Quetta, Karachi and Multan and strong tremors were felt in Lahore also.

Pakistani meteorologists added that its epicentre was in a remote area about 200 miles south-west of the Baluchistan capital, Quetta.

According to reports, houses were damaged in Quetta, capital city of Balochistan province.

Several houses collapsed or were damaged. But no casualties have been reported yet.

Pakistan faced the wrath of nature recently as the massive flood paralised the entire nation and caused heavy loss. Now, the earthquake seemed to be a big spites for Pakistan.
