Six injured in group clash

Muzaffarnagar, Jan 15 (PTI) At least six persons wereinjured when two groups clashed over a disputed land atMundait village here, police said today.

An altercation between both the groups broke outyesterday when one group tried to construct a religiousstructure on the disputed land under Thana Bhawan policestation which was opposed by the other.

Senior police officials rushed to the spot to quell theescalating tension and brought the situation under control.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Additional police personnel have also been deployed insensitive areas to prevent any stray incidents of violence,said officials.
