TC controlled ZP asks state govt to fill up posts

Tamluk(WB), Jan 13 (PTI) The Trinamool Congresscontrolled Purba Midnapore Zilla Parisahd has asked the WestBengal government to immediately fill up all the vacantgovernment posts as it was hampering the development work inthe district.

Zilla Parishad (ZP) Sabhadipati Ranjit Mondal in aletter to Chief Secretary Samar Ghosh demanded that thegovernment fill up the posts of Zill Parishad Secretary andmany other important posts including doctors under the controlof the ZP in the district as it was hampering the ZP incarrying out the development work in the district.

Mondal alleged that the state government wasdeliberately not filling up the vacancies created by thetransfers. Many of the posts are lying vacant after theofficers were transferred as the state government has notposted any officer in place of the transferred officials anddoctors.

The Trinamool Congress is at present in control of thePurba Midnapore Zilla Parishad after it defeated the CPI(M) inthe ZP polls in 2008.
