"I never get late in appointment with a General", says Biden, referring to Gen Kayani
Islamabad, Jan 13(ANI): US Vice President Joe Biden cut down on the time of his interaction with the media at the Prime Minister's House here, as he did not want to be late for a meeting with Pakistan's Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani in neighbourhood Rawalpindi.
"I never get late in an appointment with a General," The News quoted Biden, as saying on Wednesday evening, while hurriedly concluding a media statement.
Media persons broke into laughter following his comment. Biden opted not to entertain a question-and-answer session.
Incidentally, Biden was late for all of his meetings. His meeting with General Kayani was two hours behind schedule.
He spent three hours and forty minutes in meetings, and over two hours in his in-house consultations, where US Ambasador to Pakistan Cameron Munter and President Obama's Special Representative for the region, Frank Riggero, were also in attendance. (ANI)
