Six Taliban militants killed in US drone attack in Pak
Peshawar, Jan 12 (PTI) US drones targeted a militantcompound in northwest Pakistan''s restive North Waziristantribal region today, killing at least six Taliban fighters,officials said.
The Predator spy planes fired four missiles at themilitant compound in Mir Ali town near Miranshah, theheadquarters of North Waziristan tribal agency, they said.
Six Taliban militants were killed in the attack. Severalothers were also injured, the officials said
Some foreign militants were believed to be among thedead.
The region targeted by the US drones is considered a hubof al-Qaeda and Taliban operatives.
