Replicate jewellery run good business in market

London, Dec 14: A duplicate of Kate Middleton's sapphire and diamond heirloom has become popular among brides to be. The original ring is estimated to be worth 85,000 pounds but members of the public can buy a duplicate for 69 pounds from the company Tru-Diamonds.

"The royal engagement rings made up 10 per cent of Tru-Diamonds' total sales during November and were the biggest selling items in the jewellery range for the same period, " the Scotsman quoted a spokeswoman as saying.

She said hits on its website had increased by 20 per cent after customers were e-mailed about the new product compared with the response to a Christmas e-mail sent a week later.
