Techie butchers wife, keeps body in freezer

Dehra Dun, Dec 13: Police arrested a software engineer for allegedly killing his wife and keeping her body in a deep freezer for nearly two months. Police officials said that the accused had cut his wife's body into pieces and kept it in the freezer.

The shocking incident came out when police arrested 37-year-old Rajesh after a complaint filed by his wife's brother about his sister's whereabouts. After receiving the complaint, police interrogated Rajesh and revealed the shocking truth.

Police said that Rajesh butchered his wife, 33-year-old Anupama, on Oct 17 following a quarrel. He hit her head against a wall and she fell unconscious. Later he strangulated her to death, cut her body into pieces and kept it in the freezer.

Later he told his kids that their mother had gone to Delhi and also he told her brother Sujan that his relations with her had improved. But when Sujan came to visit his sister in Dehra Dun, he found her missing. Later he filed the complaint which lead to expose the truth.

The new incident of murder by well educated people has came out after a similar incident in Bangalore just two months ago. In Aug 2010, a Infosys HR Manager had killed his wife and went for jogging. Later police arrested him and he confessed that he killed wife for ill-treating his parents.
