Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni
Agra, Dec 6: During the second day of his India visit, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and First Lady, Carla Bruni, visited the Fatehpur Sikri dargah in Agra on Sunday, Dec 5.

The caretaker of the Fatehpur Sikri dargah, grave of 16th-century Sufi saint Salim Chishti, told that President's wife Carla Bruni prayed for a son from her marriage with Sarkozy.

When caretaker Peerzada Rais Mian Chishti described about "the dargah grants wishes to the jobless, unmarried and the childless," Carla Bruni asked him to pray for her for a son.

The sources siad that the couple also tied a kalava (red thread) on a jali (latticework) inside the dargah.

Carla Bruni has a nine-year-old son from an earlier relationship and President has three from his two previous marriages.

Earlier on Saturday, Dec 4 Sarkozy and wife visited Taj Mahal. He wrote, “It represents the civilisation of the East. Unforgettable. Goodbye," in the visitors book.
