US man strips to underwear in protest of airport security screening
New York, Nov 25 (ANI): A New York man arrived at the LaGuardia airport wearing only his underwear, as a protest against the see-all body scanners and intrusive pat-downs.
Jason Rockwood, 33, who wore navy boxers, a white T-shirt and moccasins, said he stripped down on the cab ride over from his home in Manhattan.
"The American people need to stand up for their rights and dignity and say, 'I don't feel comfortable with how you're treating me'," the New York Daily News quoted him as saying.
"I'm definitely intending to have a pat-down," said the Chicago-bound Rockwood, who works in advertising.
But he didn't get the now infamous hands-on treatment from the clearly amused Transportation Security Administration workers. Nor was he sent through the full-body scanner.
Instead, he was marched through the metal detector - and sent on his way.
"The procedures TSA uses to screen passengers is undignified," he stated. (ANI)
