New York, Nov 8 (ANI): Former President Pervez Mushrraf has lashed out at Nawaz Sharif for his threats of trying him for treason when he returns to power, saying the PML-N chief will never see that day.

All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) leader Musharraf told a large gathering of his supporters in the Soundview Broadcasting building on Saturday evening that Nawaz would never return to power, but did not give any reason for the same, The Nation reported.

Responding to threats of lawsuit incessantly posed by the former prime minister, he said, "As Nawaz knows that he will neither regain power nor will he be able to try me in a court of law, therefore, he resorts to blowing this trumpet time and again."

The APML leader went on to say that Sharif had confrontations with four army chiefs, two presidents and one chief justice while he was the prime minister of Pakistan.

Responding to questions regarding the current situation in Pakistan, Musharraf said that the Pakistani people were disappointed and the nation was demoralized.

The Muslim league had created Pakistan under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam and now "we will rebuild it under the banner of All Pakistan Muslim League " he added.

Meanwhile, a group of PML-N activists staged a demonstration outside the building in Long Island City, raising anti-Musharraf slogans and heckling those who had come to listen to the former president. (ANI)
