LK Advani
New Delhi, Nov 8: Attacking China over the "atrocities" committed in Tibet in the name of Cultural Revolution, veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani hoped that Tibetan people living in exile, including the Dalai Lama, would be able to return to their home land soon.

Advani took a swipe at the communist neighbour over the destruction of cultural and spiritual heritage of Tibet "most of all during China's shockingly misnamed Cultural Revolution" between 1967 and 1977.

Going on to say that Tibet, however, continues to be the holy land of the Tibetan people, the BJP leader said, "I do hope and pray that a day will come soon when His Holiness the Dalai Lama and other Tibetan people living in forced exile are able to go back to their Home Land and Holy Land in an honourable and dignified way, and thereafter be able to build the future destiny of Tibet."

Dalai Lama, one among the hundreds of Tibetans living in exile, has been dubbed as a "separatist" by China.
