Model's death: Cops inquire Sahil's ex-girlfriend

Mumbai, Nov 3: In the model Rinki Chaudhry"s murder case, Mumbai police on Tuesday, Nov 2 questioned Sahil Malik's former girlfriend Shyamli Jain aka Princy.

Earlier, on Oct 30 police arrested Rinki's boyfriend, Sahil Malik and booked him for murder charge and also for giving false information regarding the death of Rinki.

Police arrested Princy after Sahil blammed her for creating rift between him and Rinky. He also claimed that Princy used to call Rinky frequently and preventing her from marrying Sahil.

Where as the investigating officer D Kamble said, "When we questioned Princy she denied Sahil's claims."

"Princy told us that she had ended her relationship with Sahil, before he started seeing Rinky. It was Rinky who first approached Princy on a popular networking site on the internet and befriended her. The two women used to chat online and exchange calls once in a while," Kamble added.

"Rinky called Princy two hours before she was murdered and we are questioned about her conversation with Rinky," he added.

Rinki Chaudhry on Oct 28 committed suicide by hanging herself at her flat in Mumbai.

According to police, Rinki had gone to the kitchen while her boyfriend was sitting in the hall. "Since she did not return from the kitchen and was not responding, her boyfriend broke open the door and found her hanging," police said.
