Pak Army 'illegally' gave funds to Bugti's rivals under Musharraf's call: Audit report
Islamabad, Oct 28 (ANI): The Pakistani Army had distributed illegal funds to the rivals of Nawab Akbar Bugti between 2000 and 2002, according to an audit report.
The Audit department report presented in a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the National Assembly revealed that around 42 million rupees were distributed among the Kulpar Bugtis of Bugti clan under the instructions of former President Pervez Musharraf, the Dawn reported.
The report claimed that the distributed amount was taken from the funds allocated for the Pakistan Baitul Maal.
The funds were distributed in three installments in the name of rehabilitation of the Kulpars under the supervision of the Army, the report said.
The PAC had directed the Federal Secretary of Social and Welfare Ministry to probe the matter and submit its finding in one months' time period. (ANI)
