Oz radio hosts set new record for Longest Underwater Broadcast

Melbourne, Oct 28 (ANI): Australian radio hosts Brendan "Jonesy" Jones and Amanda Keller have set a new Guinness World Record for the Longest Underwater Broadcast.

The WSFM breakfast duo performed the feat at the Great Barrier Reef Habitat at the Sydney Aquarium, which is home to eight sharks, including a 2.8 meter lemon shark.

Jones, 42, who found the underwater broadcast exhilarating and unforgettable, and Keller, 48, endured three hours underwater at 3.8 meters.

"Who said radio stunts are dead, Man?" the Courier Mail quoted him as saying.

Keller, meanwhile, was thinking while lying on the bottom of the tank.

"I feel really disrespectful for doing a number one not only in front of my family and the crowd but also in front of our general manager too," she stated.

Guinness World Records adjudicated poolside and stipulated the pair had to broadcast fully submerged for three hours and maintain a normal breakfast show format to claim the record. (ANI)
