US couple's kids born on 8/8/8, 9/9/9, 10/10/10

Rockford, Oct 16: In an extremely rare occurrence, the birth dates of three children of a Michigan couple happens to be 8/8/8, 9/9/9 and 10/10/10.

Chad and Barbie Soper had their third child last Sundy, Oct 10, 2010, incidentally matching the birth date pattern of the two precedents who were born on Sep 9, 2009 and Aug 8, 2008.

Yes, the question that is haunting all your minds right now is the question that 36-year-old Barbie Soper faces often. Was the birth dates manipulated by the couple?

The first child, Chloe Corrin was exactly born on 8/8/8 which happened to be Barbie's due date as well. But the second baby, Cameron Dane, came earlier than the Sep 20, 2009 due date on induced labour.

As to the third, Cearra, the due date was Nov 4, 2010. But the delivery had to be done earlier due to potential health complications, said the couple's physician.

"At some point, probably 20 weeks into the pregnancy, we decided it was better for her to deliver early," Dr Andrew Van Slooten is quoted as saying in The Grand Rapids Press.

"There is this window we had. We definitely had the option to shoot for that (October 10) day and did. But it wasn't like delivering her three weeks early just to hit that date," Dr Slooten added.

Barbie Soper, who is excited about the unique birth dates that all three of her children can enjoy, is, however, no planning on adding another member to the family on 11/11/11.
