Kaun Banega Crorepati 4 conquers Internet as well

KBC 4
Bangalore, Oct 13: The fourth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC 4) has not only taken the television world by the storm but seems to have conquered the internet as well.

It was reported earlier that the game show enjoyed the record breaking TRPs on Monday, Oct 11, the very first day the latest season was broadcast.

However, the show's influence or rather craze did not stop with one medium as KBC 4 has now taken over internet search trends based on the questions asked on the show.

On Tuesday, Oct 12, Google Trends listed Jaswant Singh, Rajiv Gandhi, Captain Satish Sharma, and Suresh Kalmadi as the top four 'Hot Searches' in India.

Those who have watched the show would recall that these names were the options in one of the questions, which read -

Which among the following personalities have been a pilot in Indian Air Force?

(a) Rajiv Gandhi
(b) Jaswant Singh
(c) Suresh Kalmadi
(d) Captain Satish Sharma.

Other terms involving KBC questions, asked on Tuesday, Oct 12, that sent many searching include, 'octopus blood colour' and 'vasudhaiva kutumbakam motto'. Search related to these reached its peak at the time of the show.

In fact, the term 'vasudhaiya kutumbakan' stayed on the Google Trends list on Wednesday, Oct 13.

Search trends reflect the country or the world's current interest. Exam results, recruitment news generally top the Indian search list, besides the occasional sex scandals, like that of Swami Nithyananda, and entertainment news.

Now the question is - are the audiences going to continue this behaviour throughout the season or will it eventually fade away?
