Modi terms Ayodhya verdict as Bapu's blessings

Ahmedabad, Oct 3: While praying for Mahatma Gandhi on Gandhi Jayanti (Oct 2), Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi termed the Ayodhya verdict as Bapu's blessings and reminded Gandhiji"s ideology of "Ram Rajya."

Stating about the verdict, Modi claimed, "Mahatma Gandhi from his young days till he left the world lived with the name of Lord Ram. In the administrative sphere also he had suggested a concept of Ram Rajya."

Modi also said, "It is good that the verdict has come just two days ahead of Gandhi Jayanti and the issue which was pending for long has sorted out by the courts."

Allahabad High Court on Sep 30 delivered the much disputed Ayodhya verdict, in which the court stated that the 2.77 acre disputed land would be divided into three parts among Hindus and Muslims.

The High Court also declared that the place where the temple of Lord Rama currently exists belongs to Hindus.
