Ban orders in Kerala ahead of Ayodhya verdict

The orders came into effect on Thursday, Sep 30 and will remain effective till Friday, Oct 1.
The orders, which prohibit marches, public gatherings and demonstrations, may be extended if required.
While over 35000 policemen and reserve police have been kept on standby, additional security personnel have been deployed at railway stations, bus stands and places of worship.
Several leaders including Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan, and Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan have appealed for peace in the aftermath of the Ayodhya title suit verdict.
Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court will deliver the judgment in the Ayodhya Ram Temple-Babri Masjid land dispute case at 3:30 on Thursday, Sep 30.
