Bhopal tragedy: GoM to meet on Sep 27

New Delhi, Sep 26: The Group of Ministers (GoM) on Bhopal gas tragedy would meet on Monday, Sep 27 to discuss the progress made since the panel handed over its recommendations to the Union cabinet in Jun 2010.

The panel headed by home minister P Chidambaram will review the progress made by various ministries since Jun 2010, government sources informed.

Earlier the Union cabinet had accepted all the 22 recommendations of the GoM and decided to push for extradition of former Union Carbide chief, Warren Anderson.

The cabinet also assured the liability of Dow Chemicals besides announcing a Rs 1,265.56 crore package for relief and remediation.
