Kerala: LPG tanker overturns, disrupts traffic

Kasargod(Kerala), Sep 16: A gas tanker truck overturned near Mailatty on the National Highway 17 on Thurday, Sep 16 resulting to steady gas leak from the vehicle, said the police.

Authorities say they are planning to evacuate people residing around 2 km from the site of mishap following gas leakage.

Vehicles coming through the highway has been disrupted and blocked following leakage from HP gas tanker, police said.

This mishap comes barely three days after a similar incident occurred at nearby Thekkil ghat forcing authorities to close the National Highway.
