Future of India and US is intertwined: US

New Delhi, Sep 16: When US President Barack Obama started all sorts of technique to stop outsourcing from other countries, US official emphasised on the econonmic relationship between India and US as future of two countries is intertwined.

The US Under Secretary of State Economic, Energy and Agricultural Affairs, Robert Hormats urged Indian firms to increase investment in the US.

"We welcome investment of Indian companies in the US as providers of capital, we welcome cooperation between American and Indian companies," said Hormats.

He also added, "The commercial collaboration between companies of the two countries result in mutual benefit, mutual job creation."

He also urged Indian government to allow FDI limits in India on sectors such as insurance and defence.

"The government of India can help by reducing investment limits in areas such as infrastructure, retail, defense and insurance sectors," said Hormats.

The US official also expressed their willingness to work with India in finding a sustainable way of fuelling the country"s economic growth.
