Premji's elder son soon to be Wipro's next CSO

Bangalore, Sep 2: Rishad Premji, an MBA from Harvard Business School, is going to join the country's third largest IT company, Wipro, as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), informed the company official.

Rishad is the son of Wipro's founder, Azim Premji.

"Rishad Premji will assume responsibilities as the Chief Strategy Officer of the IT Business," stated the Wipro official in a press conference.

Rishad will take over his part of job as CSO from Lakshminarayana K R and will join CEO (IT Business) Suresh Vaswani and Girish Paranjpe on Jan 1, 2011.

Currently Rishad serves as the general manager-treasury and investor relations (Treasury and Investor Relations) in the company.
