Manipur: 1 killed, 3 injured in grenade blast

Imphal, Sep 1: A suspected militant was gunned down by a combined security team in Imphal on Tuesday, Aug 31 while three persons were injured in a grenade blast.

The injured were rushed to Raj Polyclinic, North AOC, however their condition is stated to be not serious.

The shootout and grenade blast occurred at Chingmeirong where a militant was killed by a team of CDO Thoubal and 28 AR troops.

Sources said that 9mm pistol along with 10 live rounds were recovered from the deceased by the security. For the whole day the situation in Imphal remained tense.
