Israel fighter jets attack Gaza Strip
The air strikes destroyed two smuggling tunnels beneath Gaza"s southern border with Egypt but no casualties were reported. The warplanes also bombed an abandoned house in the east of Khan Younis city.
On Monday, Aug 16 clashes happened in Khan Younis city between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants. One militant was killed and two Israel soldiers were injured.
The attack was in response to the injury of two soldiers by Palestinian militants.
