Heavy rains and floods kill 200 in Pakistan
Peshawar, Jul 30: 200 people were killed in heavy rains and floods in different parts of Pakistan.
Monsoon rains and floods caused the death of 200 people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, located in the north west of the Pakistan, was the worst hit province where 108 people killed in flash floods and torrential rains. The provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had declared a state of emergency across the province.
The Daily Times reported that 54 people were killed in Swat, 41 in Shangla, 11 in Peshawar, 16 in Upper Dir, 12 in Lower Dir and five in Batagram district.
