US: C-17 military cargo plane crashes & burns
Anchorage (Alaska), Jul 29: A military cargo plane crashed at Elmendorf Air Force Base here on Wednesday, Jul 28 evening while on a local training missiong.
Four people were onborad the C-17 plane when it crashed and burned at around 6:14 pm.
The Air Force confirmed that the C-17 was assigned to Elmendorf's 3rd Wing. The plane reportedly crashed when it was headed east off Runway 5 and was banking left, to the north.
There are no reports on casualties yet.
The military has refused to comment.
