Delhi: Student opens fire at school, one injured
Delhi, Jul 28: A high school student opened fire in a government school premises here on Wednesday, Jul 28 injuring another boy.
The incident took place in Veer Chandra Garwhal Public School in Saket at around 9 am when a Class IX student opened fire during a clash between two groups of students.
"The Class IX student had brought a .22 pistol to the school. During the fight, he allegedly opened fire in which Gaurav suffered minor injuries on his shoulder," a senior police official informed, adding that the assailant has been taken into custody.
The student who was injured in the firing has been identified as Gaurav Yadav, a Class VIII student. Following the incident, he was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he received medical attention and was discharged.
