Monsoon Session: Lok Sabha adjourned on Day 1
News Delhi, Jul 26: The monsoon session of parliament, which was started on Jul 26, had been adjourned for the first day.
Speaker Meira Kumar had paid tribute to the deceased former vice president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and former union minister and Bihar MP Digvijay Singh.
The speaker had also remembered the victims of various disasters like the train accident in West Bengal on Jul 22, the Maoist attack in Narayanpur in Chattisgarh Jun 29 and the plane crash in Mangalore on May 22.
She also had paid tribute to the martyrs of Kargil war, 1996 on its 11th anniversary.
Then the house was adjourned for the first day on Jul 26.
